The Details
Cherry Hill Park is, hands down, the best vacation oriented RV Park I’ve stayed at. The price is very high, but it is abundantly clear that they spend a good portion of the price to reinvest in the quality of the grounds, the sites, and the many amenities on offer. They are a family owned and run operation that has been in business for decades. Despite the high cost, I have to give them my highest recommendation.
One of the really great features of the park is that they have a staff member whose sole job is to help campers have a good time in Washington DC. She can provide all kinds of information about what to do in the city, what tours to take, what transportation is available, and near anything else you may need. We signed up for a special seminar on getting around the city on our first day and it was both helpful and helped save us money.
This is a laundry room at Cherry Hill. If you are a regular RV traveler you know how amazing this is compared to other RV parks.
Cherry Hill has its own Bus Depot where you can pick up the city bus lines, taxis, and regular tour buses that travel into the heart of the capital. This is incredibly useful in a city like DC where traffic can be brutal and parking is extremely limited.
Our parking space was level, clean and had plenty of room. Driving around the park we found that pretty much every space in the park was a good one. The only issue you may have is there are only a few pull through sites. If you want one of those, you should book early.
During our stay, we didn’t spend a lot of time in the park itself, but the grounds were attractive and the showers were clean and well appointed. The staff is beyond friendly. Every time we drove past the gate guard he’d have a hearty welcome for us. If you want to visit DC in your RV, I think you should absolutely stay at Cherry Hill Park.

Hello! I totally agree with your review! I love this place! I stayed 8 nights and they do offer AAA & Good Sam discounts of 10% off. I loved taking a day off from touring DC and I rested at the 2 pools all day catching up on reading. Their cafe right at the pool has breakfast all day (great omelettes) and lunch (loved the veggie bean burger) and ice cream! Every staff member I encountered was exceptionally helpful & friendly. I will be returning one day to tour places in DC that I missed the 1st time. The D.C. night tour with fellow campers was a great way to see the major sights monuments & memorials with an on-board guide. Thankfully I met you 2 there and your valuable travel blog sight!
