The Details
Bean Pot is a charming little RV park tucked away in the woods off the highway in rural Tennessee. This is the only RV park that has ever given us a double discount. They honored both Passport America and Good Sam club and the result was a very cheap stay for us. That goes a long way in my 4-star rating of this park. If it were an average price, I’d give them an average rating and short of a recommendation.
Bean Pot has two problems. Firstly, it’s a bit short on amenities. They have the basics, but no wireless is a problem, and when we were there the pool was half drained and thus not available. The other issue was that upkeep of the park left something to be desired. The bathrooms were often out of toilet paper, and the place had an overall run down look to it. The owner related to us that she’d prefer to sell but stayed on for the sake of her grandchildren. She should put those kids to work in the park!
Fortunately, this general disorder was not extensive and for the most part, we had a pleasant stay here. It has a nice location in the woods and thus was free of traffic noise or other disturbances. Our site was a bit small but large enough for our purposes and the utilities were all in good order. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. If you just need a place to park, that has your hookups covered, Bean Pot will get you take care of and leave you with money in your wallet. That’s enough to get a thumbs up from me.
