Natural Bridge KOA continues a recent trend for us of rather nice KOA parks in the East Central US. While a little expensive their price was reasonable by east coast standards.

The Details
Our string of good luck with KOA campgrounds continues at Natural Bridge KOA. While the title on their office could use a little TLC, we found that for the most part, the park was well taken care of and maintained. The bathrooms were clean and had very modern fixtures. The sites were well ordered and mostly level.
The park is actually built on some very hilly terrain. They have done their best to cut the parking spaces into the hill such that they are flat. The deluxe suites feature attractive wooden balconies with patio furniture. Despite the hills, we didn’t have any trouble getting in or out of our spot. the only down side is that most parking spots don’t leave a lot of room to spare on either side of the RV once you are situated.
Because it is set back in the woods, it is a quiet campground with a nice wooded feel to it. Pretty classic for KOA parks. They do have a pool, but it is not very deep and not very long, more suited to cooling off than any real swimming or water play. While there is little remarkable about Natural Bridge, it met my expectations and standards. Thankfully the price was considerably lower than the parks around the DC area. It’s no great bargain, but it’s a fair price for the region and I give it a solid recommendation.
